what is a 3 prong power cord called?

So that’s how I understand what is a 3 prong power cord called?

Now I want to turn it over to you: Through my article, you understand how to choose and what are the standards?

Do you have a different point of view with the electrical outlet? Or any other questions?

Let me know by leaving a quick comment below right now.

what is a 3 prong power cord called?

3 prong power cord called is the outside is a line inside is three wires, three-core power cable is generally brown is the fire wire, blue is the zero wire, yellow and green is the ground wire, three-core cable can be used for three-phase power or single-phase supply line with ground.

3 prong power cord called is three-phase, used as a phase line. Low-voltage is generally used as a power wire. Four-core cables are generally low-voltage, of which three cores for the phase line. 2. three-core cable is a cable with three cores (line); since there are three lines, then you can connect the firewire, zero wire, and ground wire to power, which is a single-phase power supply. It can also be three cores were connected to ABC three phases, but also two cores connected to two phases, the other one grounded can also have other combinations of connection, but not commonly used.

Extended information

Single-core means that there is only one conductor in an insulation layer. When the voltage exceeds 35kV, most of the single-core cable, its core, and the relationship between the metal shield can be seen as a transformer primary winding of the coil and the core. When the single-core cable core through the current, there will be magnetic lines cross-linked aluminum cladding or metal shield so that it appears at both ends of the induced voltage.
High-voltage AC single-core cable special precautions high-voltage AC lines try to use multi-core cable; when the working current of the circuit must use a single-core cable, the following precautions need to be taken.

(1) The cable should be unarmored or armored with non-magnetic materials. In order to avoid the formation of a loop current, the metal shield should be grounded only at one point.

(2) In the same circuit, all wires should be placed in the same tube, wire tube, or wire channel, or use wire clamps to all phases of the wire installation fixed together, unless they are made of non-magnetic materials.

(3) In the installation of two, three, or four single-core cables forming a single-phase circuit, a three-phase circuit, or a three-phase and neutral circuit, respectively, the cables shall contact each other as far as possible. In all cases, the distance between the outer sheaths of two adjacent cables should be no greater than the diameter of one cable.

(4) When passing, a single-core cable with a rated current greater than 250A must be installed close to the steel bulkhead wall; the clearance between the cable and the cabin arm should be at least 50 mm. belonging to the same AC circuit except for the cable laid in the shape of a trefoil.

(5) magnetic material should not be used in the same group of single-core cables between the cable through the steel plate, the same circuit of all the conductors should be together through the steel plate or stuffing box so that there is no magnetic material between the cable, and the gap between the cable and the magnetic material should be not less than 75mm. Belongs to the same AC back to the cable laid into the trilobal except for the trilobal.

(6) In order to make the conductor cross-section equal to or greater than 185mm2, a single-core cable consists of a considerable length of three-phase circuit impedance is approximately equal and should be in the gap of not more than 15m at each phase transposition once. Alternatively, the cable can be laid in a trefoil shape. When the cable laying length is less than 30m, it is not necessary to take the above measures.

(7) in the line within each phase, including several single-core cables used in parallel, all cables should have the same path and equal cross-section. And the cables belonging to the same phase should try to lay alternately with the cables of other phases so as not to make the distribution of current uneven.
